Used to keep in touch with several of the Cumnock Round Tablers, but sadly have lost contact over the years! One of my deepest regrets - though did make it for the 50th Anniversary Dinner of the Cumnock Round Table & stayed with Malcolm Ross.

My Great Great Grandfather David Hood has been a brick wall for a long time. Recently discovered he was born in Old Cumnock and found more family on your website. Thank you! Still looking for additional information on his father George who was a coal miner.

I was interested in the notes compile by Bobby Grierson concerning David Smith, Cumnock's 13th Provost. I would like to point out that the date provided for his marriage to Jessie Hewitson is incorrect. The couple married on 20 June 1877, not 20 June 1887 as stated on your website. On their marriage registration document, his wife's name is recorded as "Janet Hewitson"

Thanks so much to all of you who work so hard on the Cumnock Tribal Pages and the Cumnock Facebook page. I'm very excited to be finally coming to the Cumnock area this June and walking the footsteps of my ancestors. Cheers, Jennifer

I am seeking to confirm that my likely Grt Grandfather John McLetchie b. Old C 1833 (son of Robert Mcletchie - Snuff Box maker) had migrated to Australia in 1854. 1st attempt failed due to the massive shipwreck of the TAYLEUR, on its maiden voyage from Liverpool. But not to be deterred, that same year John came here on the 'Golden Era'.
