World War 1 Soldiers

August 2014 saw the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1. We wished to honour the memory of the Cumnock men who took part in this - some died in battle and some survived.

CHG member Kay McMeekin has researched many of these soldiers in the Cumnock Soldiers Blog which you can add your own information to.

During August/September 2014 CHG ran a series of weekly Cumnock Chronicle articles highlighting this research.
